Congratulations

Congratulations to the WYSE team on their 2nd place finish at Sectionals. This team is the first MTHS team to ever advance to the State Finals at the U of I in April. Clay Barlow was the sectional champion in Engineering Graphics. Anthony Wessel placed 2nd in Physics and 3rd in Computer Science. Peyton Schroeder placed 2nd in Math. Skai Salmon placed 2nd in Engineering Graphics. Ryan Meyer placed 3rd in Engineering Graphics. Anne Flintgruber placed 3rd in English. Congratulations!

The MTHS Robotics Team’s Alliance won the Central Illinois Regional Competition and was awarded the 2017 Innovation and Control Award.  The Red Alliance scored 506 points which is a New Penalty Free World High Score. The MTHS team will now compete at the World Championship in St. Louis on April 26-29, 2017.

FIRST Robotics Team – MarsCars Presentation

This is the 5th year that the MTHS First Robotics team has modified a battery-powered ride-on kids car for a local child.  This year the team designed the car to have two steering wheels so that twin sisters could play together.  Take a look at the how the team shared their talents to make smiles and memories!

National Merit Scholarship Finalists Announced

MTHS is proud to announce that Carsten B., Anne F., Jacob G., and Peyton S. have all become finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Contest.  Congratulations!

During the week of February 6th, students from the MTHS Choral Program held their 3rd Annual “Give Back Week.” This week is intended to emphasize the importance of community, kindness, and generosity. Throughout the week, Choir Board Members led their peers in activities, card making, and much more. In only 5 days, 112 students changed the lives of over 700 members of our surrounding communities and raised $480 that has been donated to TAPS in Pekin, IL and Heifer International, a global nonprofit group working to eradicate poverty and hunger!  Click HERE to learn more about “Give Back Week”.
