Sacred Heart Central Illinois Invitational

Saturday, Sept. 5 – Springfield

The tournament is played at several sites in Springfield. All of the doubles will be played at Washington Park (directions below). The finals and some of the 3rd place matches for the other divisions will also be played at Washington Park.

The coaches meet at 8:00 for information.   The players are then transported to the various sites, and play will begin immediately, usually around 8:45-9:00 am.

It is an all-day tournament and though it’s tough to predict when tournaments will end, in the past we have arrived back in Metamora approximately 7:00 pm.

There is not much in the way of fast food restaurants close to Southeast and Lanphier, so players are encouraged to bring a cooler with lunch, snacks, and water/Gatorade, especially if their parents will not be going. All sites have adult site managers helping to run the tournament.

Directions to Washington Park:

Take I-74 east toward Bloomington. Merge onto I-155 south for Lincoln/Springfield. At Lincoln you will merge onto I-55 south for Springfield. Take I-55 south to Springfield and exit at the South Grand Ave exit (exit #96B). Go west on South Grand Ave for 3.8 miles. You will cross MacArthur Blvd. and see the park on your right.
