Who: Any interested student may join math team. We need students from all classes (freshmen through seniors). Students in Honors or Enriched math classes are especially encouraged to participate.

What: The goal of MTHS math team is to provide a venue in which students who enjoy math can participate in a competitive manner with other mathletes in our school and across the area. We compete in a variety of formats by answering questions about a wide range of mathematics.

Where/When: Team information is distributed in late October and early November. Interested students should plan on committing to compete by Thanksgiving Break. The regional competition is typically the last Saturday in February or the first Saturday in March. The state competition is typically the first Saturday in May. Stop by Mrs. Lucia’s room (213) if you have questions!

How: Get involved by speaking with Mrs. Lucia (in room 213) after Columbus Day in October. An informational meeting will be held in late October to discuss events, practice schedules, and competition dates.
