CTE – Electronics-Advanced Electronics

As our world economy and culture becomes ever more dependent upon electronic technology, there will be an ever increasing number of opportunities for students to enter electronic related careers.  The purpose of the Electronics and Advanced Electronics courses is to give students insight into these opportunities.  Students do not need to have any prior knowledge of electronics before entering this course.  As students build many exciting projects, they learn a number of the introductory elements of electrical theory.  The following are several of the projects that students build through the Electronics & Advanced Electronic courses:

1. Clap on/ Clap off circuit
2. Burglar alarm
3. Light detector circuit (similar to the lamp-posts in many people’s lawns that automatically come on at night.)
4. Infrared detector alarm
5. Door intercom system
6. Rail-road lights
7. Stop light
