DESCRIPTION

All students at MTHS are welcome to join the National FFA Organization, a club focused on promoting leadership, career success, and learning basic agriculture! Membership in the FFA provides numerous opportunities to participate in various contests ranging from soils judging to livestock judging to public speaking. Also as members you can have a blast going to conventions, running for offices, and going to and working on other activities the FFA provides. Overall FFA is a fun student-run organization led by the chapter officers. So come join FFA and you won’t regret it!!! 

Who:

All students, especially if you are in any Agriculture classes.

What:

Most of our activities are career development events in which students compete against other FFA chapters on how well they understand and perform agricultural activities.

When:

Our chapter meets once per month and then contests and events are throughout the entire year.

Where:

The meetings are held in room #300 (the Ag classroom).  The contests are held throughout the central Illinois area.

Why:

The FFA is a dynamic organization that will help students in three key areas:  Leadership, Personal Growth, and Career Success.

How:

Sign-up to be an FFA member with Mr. Kiesewetter in room #300.  Annual dues to be a Metamora FFA member are $15.
