Honors British Literature students transitioned into the Anglo-Saxon unit this week! They spent some time identifying Anglo-Saxon poetic devices in nursery rhymes and then worked to compose their own stanzas of Anglo-Saxon poetry! Countdown to Beowulf: 12 days!

Señora Setterlund Ambrosch's Spanish Honors classes were busy speaking Spanish this week. Spanish IV students got in heated discussions during our Debate Unit while Spanish III Honors Students raced to remember a story and retell it to their partners! A great Spanish-speaking Week in World Language!

First day in the kitchen labs for Food Science 1 students. Practicing knife cuts and safety (julienne, small dice, medium dice, and large dice) first, then onto enjoying food.




Intro to Fine Arts had a special guest speaker today - our very own Mrs. Dale! She taught them all about the art of book and paper making, which she also teaches in her Graphic Arts class and does as a working artist when she’s not teaching.

BIG WIN last night in volleyball over Normal West!!

Photography students took their first photographs today using only a shoebox and photo paper. This week they are learning about pinhole photography and the darkroom before they get their film cameras next week.
