From Mischief, Broadway masters of comedy, comes the smash hit farce. Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. This 1920s whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences! Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Award–winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

The production is directed by Tyler Smith and has a cast that includes Jeremy Wilkes as Chris Bean/Inspector Carter, Seb Ward as Max Bennett/Cecil Haversham, Jackson Bevard as Robert Grove/Thomas Colleymoore, Evan Enderle as Dennis Tyde/Perkins, Derek Hover as Jonathan Harris/Charles Haversham, Lizzie Jones as Sandra Wilkinson/Florence Colleymoore, Olivia Weldon as Annie Twilloil, and Nico Krasin as Trevor Watson. They are joined by an ensemble made up of members of the Cornley University Drama Society Tech Crew.

The Play That Goes Wrong will be performed at the Kenneth H. Maurer Performing Arts Center from September 18-21, 2025, with a newly added Thursday performance starting at 7:30 PM, 7 PM on 19th and 20th, and 2 PM on 21st. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for senior citizens 60 & older, $5 for students 8th grade & younger, and all MTHS Students with a school ID are free.

Attention JUNIORS: The PSAT/NMSQT is being offered this fall. Students who wish to sign up must do so by Sept. 5th. Check your Gmail for the instructions. Test fee is $18.

College Kickoff - College Application Workshop
Bradley is hosting a College Kickoff event at 3pm on Sunday September 14th.
At this event, your students will:
Attend an essay writing seminar with our Bradley English Faculty to truly give them a leg up when it comes to writing their college essays
Learn about the financial aid process, transferring AP/IB/Dual Credits, and other details in their college searches
Set up their CommonApp account
Ask questions about the college experience to our current students
This event is open to all seniors starting their college search!

Sophomores in Honors English II held literary debates in class today, and one innovative group dazzled the competition by incorporating complex choreography and a crew of elite backup dancers into their arguments. Did it help their claim support? Who can say...but it was a performance worth documenting.

Congratulations on the boys golf team on their second place team finish today at the Macomb invitational. Jordan Kerr finished second overall, Jackson Bevard finished eighth overall, Isaiah Farraher finished 10th overall as did Stanley Swanson. Great job birds.

Student Council is excited for a school wide Rock Paper Scissors competition on Friday, August 22 to celebrate the beginning of the school year! Students will receive red beads on Friday and race to win more matches to earn more beads! Top three winners will be announced at the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 23 after the Redbird Kickoff! It's always so fun being a Redbird!

Anna is a two-time Team USA swimmer and a recent Olympian from the World Championships. This is an incredible opportunity to meet a world-class athlete right here in our community!

Anna will be bringing some exclusive items from the World Championships—like shirts and swim bags from top brands like Speedo and TYR—to be raffled off.

You'll have the chance to meet Anna, get her autograph, and take a picture. Afterward, she'll show off her skills in the pool! Kids and adults can swim with her and even try to race her. Maybe we can get a relay together to take on an Olympian! 🏊‍♀️
