Spanish IV Honors students went to the Metamora Square to discuss Metamora's history with the Spanish exchange students! What a fun way to learn about our own hometown and also enrich the Spaniard's understanding of central Illinois!

The digiMAX Sports Network will not be able to broadcast the Metamora vs. Sterling Sectional Semifinal basketball game tomorrow night at Galesburg due to IHSA and NFHS Network that provides exclusive rights to the broadcast. If you are looking for a local outlet to watch the game, the Germantown Grille and Kouri's are two that we have heard of so far that plan to show the NFHS broadcast of the game at their establishments. Good luck, Redbirds!

MTHS German students did an excellent job at the German Fest this past weekend. Students performed the traditional folk dances, the Hansel and Gretel Skit, and everyone enjoyed the delicious food!

Congratulations to the MTHS Boys' Basketball Team on their Regional Championship tonight!

Students in honors English II got a warm, personal welcome from former collegiate basketball player, ESPN anchor and New York Times bestselling author Kate Fagan before they began her book, What Made Maddy Run. Fagan personally spoke to MTHS students, encouraging them to dig deep into the themes of the book: the pressure to perform and the struggles of mental illness and perfectionism in students and athletes. Thank you, Kate Fagan, for giving your time to our students!
