
A huge thank you to Captain Marc Wright from Woodford County for coming and sharing his experiences in law enforcement and the military. Students were able to make real life connections with text as Mr. Wright shared what his experiences were in the Middle East specifically Iraq and Afghanistan. They will be able to use this knowledge as they continue reading Sunrise Over Fallujah.

Alana took time out during her Spring Break to speak with honors English II students about the pressure of college, collegiate athletics, and the transfer portal. Alana is an exceptional human and MTHS is proud to call her an alumni! Thank you again, Alana.




Today army national guard visited us for a special lab. They brought with them MRE meals for a food science chopped competition. The students had so much fun and were so creative with their meals.

Educators Rising club members got to hear about first-year teaching from MTHS's very own (and fantastic!) chemistry teacher Audrey Stoewer.


Honors Anatomy and Physiology students enjoyed their time at the ICC Healthcare Career Expo. Students visited the ICC North Campus, which has state-of-the-art facilities for Healthcare Career preparation.







Congratulations to Madie Sheets, who will continue her academic and athletic career next year. Madie will play lacrosse at Cornell College, located in Mount Vernon, IA. Good luck Madie, keep soaring!

Child Care Services preschool students participated in Disney dress up day! It was a fun theme day for everyone.







After learning about the color wheel and the effects color have on emotions, Introduction to FCS got to create an edible color wheel. After all of their hard work they got to eat the rainbow.
