Huge thank you to Eric Hodel from Midwest Foodbank for being our guest speaker this morning at Key Club. He challenged our students to keep volunteering and serving our local communities because the need is great. Our kids had the opportunity to package goods last week that will be shipped South for those in need.
Additionally, we are excited to announce that the 2025-2026 MTHS Key Club group won the Salvation Army Young Leadership Award.

It was a great day on Friday for the Scholastic Art Awards Honors Day in Sprigfield, IL. Lizzie Jones and CeCe Evans represented MTHS at the event which was held at the Springfield Art Association. Students are invited based on their success in the Scholastic Art Awards. It is a fun day with students from all over our region attending workshops with practicing artists honing their skills and learning new forms of art.
Student Council's 1st Student Trivia Night was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came out to play!
It was a beautiful day to be on the ISU campus for the SED at ISU: Your Path in Special Education conference! This crew learned about several SpEd majors, including the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Low Vision and Blindness, and Learning & Behavior Specialist pathways. Thanks to the ISU SpEd Department for hosting such a great event.
Congrats to the MTHS Speech Team who finished a strong season with a Sectional showing on February 14 for Addison Armistead in Original Oratory! The team worked diligently, performed expertly, and represented MTHS with class in all competitions! We will miss our seniors who helped lead the way!

Honors Spanish IV/DC 2 Spanish students learned not only the history and importance of La Bachata, but the movesssss! Way to go dancers!
Honors Spanish II students acted out the Biography of Selena Quintanilla. Lots of laughs and memories were made!
Macbeth is alive in the library today with Ms. Sudbrink's incredible Honors British Literature classes! The ghost of Banquo is haunting it up!
